Flynn O'Driscoll's dedicated Aviation and Asset Finance Group was established over 15 years ago and has developed into a leading practice with strong links across the aviation and transportation sectors.
Our broad client base spans 33 jurisdictions and comprises airlines, lessors, financiers, engine lessors, export credit agencies, components, engine shops, paint shops, and maintenance organisations.
We are trusted legal advisors to our clients on aviation legal issues covering transactional, regulatory, enforcement, insolvency, and litigation matters associated with their operations.
We advise on some of the most complex asset finance transactions in the space, regularly handling matters involving multiple jurisdictions, novel legal aspects, and condensed timeframes. Our expertise and experience span all facets of aviation, from dealing with the metal through to the finance including purchase, sale and lease, and repossession and restructuring. This year, we have been involved in a number of complex shipping matters, further demonstrating the versatility of our practice.

advised Atlantic Aviation Group (AAG) on its acquisition of Lufthansa Technik Shannon Ltd from its German parent Lufthansa Technik (AG).
advised Alafco Aviation Lease and Finance Co in connection with an aircraft re-financing transaction that involved the re-leasing of one used B737-800 aircraft to Joy Air in China.
advised Eirtrade Aviation Limited on a bank facility agreement for asset finance with Bank of Ireland. Eirtrade Aviation is an aviation asset trading and management company that provides specialist services to the airline and aircraft leasing community worldwide.
represented an Irish leasing company in High Court proceedings in relation to the filing of non-consensual international interests on the International Registry.
advised an Irish technical service provider in a complex contractual dispute with a European airline. |
